NOMAD returns to Monaco following a successful debut edition in 2017.
This Spring, NOMAD returns to Monaco from 26th to 29th April 2018 at La Vigie, Karl Lagerfeld’s former Monte Carlo residence. A selection of leading galleries from around the world will stage standout presentations in the historic Villa La Vigie, to include solo shows, rare pieces and new works by internationally acclaimed designers, artists and architects.

A series of engaging VIP events complemented the galleries’ inspiring offerings, including performative dinners in private houses and private visits to a selection of the region’s vibrant cultural institutions. Lord Norman Foster and London Design Museum Director Deyan Sudjic inaugurated the Design Conversations series, a key feature of the NOMAD experience, initiating a meaningful dialogue between singular personalities of the design and architecture fields in an informal and intimate setting.
NOMAD also collaborated with institutions, partners and sponsors to create exceptional experiences for its visitors. These collaborations took the shape of immersive installations, performances, exhibitions and unique objects in dialogue with the surprising spaces of the villa and the innovative format of the event.▼
Nomad is an innovative way to showcase contemporary art and collectable design for a discerning audience. Created as a concept that could readily travel the world, Nomad brings together a selection of the world’s leading galleries in incredible architectural locations. Nomad takes place in Monaco at the historic and stupendous Villa La Vigie, and in St. Moritz at Chesa Planta, the prestigious, 16th-century mansion in the heart of the Swiss alps. Nomad establishes a unique dialog between gallery works and a very personal context, creating a community of individuals looking for a different experience.
NOMAD MONACO will coincide with the busiest culture week in the Cote D'Azur with a number of events including ArtMonte Carlo and Monaco Art Week.
NOMAD's select VIP Program highlights the most important cultural and historic institutions from the Cote D'Azur which include the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco, the Francis Bacon MB Art Foundation, and Cap Moderne. NOMAD's dynamic VIP Program features private collection visits, curator-led museum tours, panel discussions with international names in the world of art an design, as well as special performances and excursions.
